Audio Assignment with Soundtrack Pro
This is an audio assignment I did a few years ago. The clip I chose was the fight scene from Kill Bill with O-Ren Ishii and The Bride. All sound effects were found online through sites such as Sound Bible or provided by my tutor and the voice over was done by myself, just warning you it's not the greatest haha. Enjoy!

Nanobot pills to increase memory!
A short clip I made that was part of a longer advertisement I my classmates and myself made. The idea for the advertisement was that we were living in a futuristic world and we were promoting a company that made a range of products/pharmaceuticals. My clip was for a pill that contained nanobots that could increase memory for humans. The images were made in Illustrator and then everything was put together in After Effects. Some effects were applied during this stage such as transparency and an alpha to create a holographic look.
Post Apocalyptic City and Posters with Photoshop
During my Digital Video and Animation course we learnt more about using Photoshop and how to manipulate images using Photoshop's tools, effects and layers.
Our first assignment was to create a post apocalyptic city. I gathered different images from a image search on the internet and put them together, overlapping some images over others and then using effects such as saturation and tools such as burn to achieve the final look.
The next assignment was to turn this image into a movie poster, I added a posterize effect and added text and blood splats for my poster.
The third image is another movie poster based on a short story we each wrote. My story was about a girl who travels into the future to kill her evil future self. The style I went for was a grind house look, the blood and shadow were images I made in Illustrator. The background was a photo of crumpled paper I took and then saturated through Photoshop. The border was made using the the rectangular marquee tool around the edge of the poster, painting it black and then using a splatter brush tool to create the splatters.

Another Still Life Scene!
Here is another still life project using Renderman with Maya. This was one of my first still life practice scenes. All the models were provided by my tutor or downloaded for free so for this assignment it was playing around with textures and lighting.

TriHearts Vs. DubBot Highlights
During my animation course in 2012 I created a short 30 second animation for my final project. I have put together the best parts in this short video for you to watch. The full version can be found on my Vimeo if you are interested in watching it. I have improved a lot with my animation a lot since then! I still had fun creating this piece though. :)

Short Ad for C4 NZ Competition
Here is a short ad that I created using After Effects and Illustrator for a competition for a music TV channel called C4 in New Zealand. The ad was to promote the Select Live time slot hosted by Drew Neemia.
I created the robot and backgrounds in Illustrator which I then put into After Effects and animated. I also used a green screen to record the people screaming which was also edited in After Effects.

Atlantis Animation Piece
Today I'll share an animation piece I did while at my Advanced 3D Graphics course last year, this was the final assessment of our six weeks working on 3D animation. The audio is a snippet from the film Atlantis and the character used is the Norman rig. Total time spent on this piece was a week.

Gwen Stefani with Illustrator
Today I'm posting a poster of Gwen Stefani that I created with Illustrator a few years back.
I'm not an expert at using Illustrator but I still had fun making this piece, I especially liked how the hair turned out.
Number one thing I would like to fix? Definitely those eyelashes!

Samurai Pizza Cats!
Here is a 3D model that I did a few years back using Lightwave. It was one of my very first character models! Speedy from Samurai Pizza Cats! I missed a few details on him such as the bow on his belt and his whiskers but I'm still happy how he turned out as one of my first character models.

Steam punk inspired character model sheets
Here are some character model sheets that I drew for a group project a while back.
They were meant to be farmers with a steam punk inspired look to them drawn in a graphic novel kind of style, they are also father and son.
This was my first time using a tablet to draw except for messy doodles. I used Photoshop with a Bamboo Manga graphics tablet. I think they turned out well in the end even though I don't draw that often now!
I did end up doing a quick 3D model of the son in Maya which I might put up in another post.

My attempt at a Photorealistic Scene in Maya
Today I will share with you some work from my Advanced 3D Graphics course that I made last year.
This is my attempt at a photo realistic scene created using Maya, Renderman and Nuke. All the models were created in Maya, I especially enjoyed modeling Deerling. I did add a few small details on Deerling in Zbrush such as the grooves along the body and hooves.
Here are a few screenshots of Deerling.
And the final piece.
Looking back there are definitely some things that could have been improved on to achieve a more realistic look!
